Broadband over Powerline Communications
The Australian Communications Authority (ACA) is currently examining the regulatory issues associated with Broadband over Powerline (BPL)Access BPL and In-house BPL technologies. communications. As part of this process, the ACA is preparing to release a BPL Discussion Paper, planned in early 2005, for public and stakeholder comment. The ACA, through its network of regional offices and liaisons with industry, is closely monitoring BPL developments around Australia.
Information on BPL Access Trials in Australia under the BPL Trial Guidelines
Access BPL operators are asked to provide the ACA with specfied information on trials for public viewing on the ACA website.
Placement of the information on the ACA's website will assist in information sharing on the latest BPL activities in Australia. The information will also include contact details of Access BPL operators to facilitate the resolution of any interference complaint attributed to a BPL trial.
