quick hints for improving your searches...

• include '+' to insist that results contain a particular word eg: bass +fish (note space before '+' but not after)
  

• include '-' to search for pages without a word eg: bass -fish (note space before '-' but not after)

• by default all words in a search are included, use 'or' between terms to get one or the other.

• use '~' to search for similar words eg; ~elderly to get results with words such as "senior," "older," "aged," included.

• use 'define:' for a summary of web definitions of a word or phrase. eg: "define: truth"
